After my TBI (a cleat to the face in a soccer game), my quick recall was horrible, say if i was asked, "whatd you have for lunch?", id go blank, its like walls would go up. I knew the information was in there, i just apparently wasnt allowed to access it. If i tried to remember id get hot, and get an immedate head ache and, sometimes break down beacause i felt like i was going crazy. i could remember, i could figure it out if i had to, it would just take time, and some effort.
It sucks not having control of your brain, when you loose grip on whats real.
Im almost 3 months out, and its gotten better. Not great yet, but better. I still have lapses, those are bad, it feels like its starting all over again. But its not. Thank god.
Time is the only thing that really helps. Time. And A LOT of sleep.
