I was prescribed Inderal when I saw the neurologist a couple of months after I had my concussion. It was 10 mg twice a day, but I was to start with only one pill at bedtime and then work up to twice a day after a week or so.

I didn't last on it for a week. The one pill made me too tired. I felt sick from it, and I stopped taking it. But I am VERY sensitive to meds.

Inderal is a medicine that is usually given to heart patients to lower blood pressure (I think). In any case, I could not tolerate it and went off it.

The neurologist tried 5 or 6 other meds before I told him that I did not want to try any more.

I now go for acupuncture and take Chinese herbs. I do use something for headaches, but I was not able to tolerate the "preventative" meds. They had too many side effects.
