The information from Dr. Wahl's is great! I have other books also but like her story so much. She goes into a lot of detail. I eat much more variety of greens now. Sea veg. are important. The amount of different kinds of greens, Kale etc. it important. It isn't just about low carb, high protein at all.

My doctor wanted me to stop sugar and bad carbs so I did. It made my recovery much faster since the nerves are free of the problems sugar brings. Then the supplements can actually heal much better.

The book is full of information about mitochondria also. Information about Nerve Growth Factor hormones in the brain (Neuroprotection) is good too. It isn't just about not having carbs, but having a diet rich in micronutritents and antioxidents. Nerves have to have foods and supplements to get rid of oxidation, toxins. They need to be free of sugar and the wrong carbs so inflammation is gone and then supplements, exercise, sleep and foods can help them heal.

I would hate to know what would have happened if I didn't have Integrative MD's that knew how to help my Autonomic Neuropathy and Peripheral Neuropathy, also my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It would have been a different outcome. I would be unable to sit up. I have Dysautonmia and the blood was not able to be pumped up to my head and heart.

I was in bed, then a w.chair. (LONG awful story) Now I can walk for a long time, not dizzy. I could not even turn my HEAD for a long time. I am healing. My family, hubby, parents, are all so happy. I am so happy not to have to worry my parents anymore I was so very ill.
