(Make sure you always get copies of any test results from your physicians.) It is fairly well-documented that people can get symptoms of neuropathy from impaired glucose tolerance well before they have frank diabetes. Often, a longer glucose tolerance tests can reveal if a person has insulin resistance that results in reactive hypoglycemia, which can also result in neurological symptoms (and is often the first sign of impaired glucose tolerance or potential diabetes).

And, of course, there's always the possibility of compressive nerve issues due to postural problems or spinal arthritis/disc issues.

Hi, thanks for the response. I've posted my test results in the neuropathy thread.

As far as Cipro, my last three infections I was given macrobid twice and then bactrum

I had Cipro at least once before a year or two ago. I got it after I had leviquin which seemed to make my hand ache so I stopped it and told my dr. I had a reaction.

One other strage thing I will mention. About 6 or 7 years ago my hand and arms were aching and hurting me I was using a PC that was not ergonomicly correct and attributed it to that. It was similar to what I felt in the beginning of this but no tingling. It went away with rest from PC. Didn't come back.
