Default Curcumin

AshleyK,
I take two 900mg tablets per day of Super Curcumin containing bioperine. from iHerb.com. Always buy curcumin containing bioperine ( a form of piperine derived from black pepper). This has been shown to massively improve the bioavailability of curcumin. See the PubMed article,
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...t_uids=9619120
where it shows a 2000% improvement!!
Incidentally, piperine also improves C10, in a similar way.See

EnglishCountryDancer, I would not worry about not being sure which supplement is giving the improvement. I should stick to the mix you have found gives benefits to your husband. Alpha lipoic acid and acetyl L Carnitine are usefull supplements also. I agree with Everette123 that vitamin D is important. However, regular sunbathing will top up your supply.
Hope this helps
Ron
