Try a brisk walk or any mild physical stimulation. You may just need to jump start your blood flow to your brain.

Depression can also cause a foggy brain.

I have lived with foggy brain from time to time for a decade. As you say, a bit of stimulation and it usually goes away. Not a big problem.
