Today's appointment
Well, the post-op bandages are off, as are most of the staples - she left a few in, I assume around the battery-pack, and will remove those Wednesday morning.
I had several chats with my Medtronic rep and, in the end, he does not know for sure what's causing the stuttering. He agrees it can be swelling/etc that will subside over time but he doesn't know. He kept trying to go down the path of, "changing positions" and I kept assuring him it wasn't always changing positions when it happened...and finally it happened while I was standing in front of him.
He assured me the diags are fine but I really pinpointed him down to WHAT is "fine" and he told me the leads are good - no shorts or problems with current. So I point-blank asked him, "Would you know if the pulse generator was defective?" He tried to elude my question with an answer about the battery/power/connections but I wouldn't let him...hit him again, "Would you know if the pulse generator itself were defective?" He finally admitted, "No, I wouldn't" and we left it at that.
Needless to say I am praying this subsides in the coming days/weeks. I know I am very early in this process and some of y'all have said you experienced the same things and some have said, "Nope - didn't have anything like that and it sounds like it might not be good".
I can assure y'all I have plenty of peace about it but even in the midst of peace we can have questions about if something is working right nor not.
