Default Is methycobal similar to methylcobalamin?

Hi,
Can somebody please clarify whether methycobal is similar to methylcobalamin?
It seems it is going to take long time to deliver methylcobalamin from puritan and we failed to convince the doctor for more shots. Currently I am getting 1ml (1000 mcg) per week.
When I checked in the pharmacy for Vitamin B12 tablets in Singapore they only have cyanocobalamin tablets and methycobal tablets. Both are not sublingual. The methycobal tablets are expensive. 10 tablets costs around USD 5. The pharmacist says methycobal 500 mcg can be taken one tablet 3 times a day.
Please share information on this. thank you.
