I require IV sedation. I simply cannot handle the tube. You will have to make special arrangements to get this tho, tell your neuro that you want IV sedation as the pain, anxiety and inability to move is more than you can handle. its a frequent request, so please dont think you are alone.
I have Gastroparesis and when I lay down my stomach back washes into my throat. They have to give me enough drugs to knock out a small village and the anesthesia guy said ENOUGH and now they knock me out. I mean OUT! I fall asleep and the next thing I know they are saying "its all over!" HA!
