The research shows that learning to ignore tinnitus is the most successful way to get relief. Try to find something to focus on besides a fan set up for that purpose. It is an acquired skill.
1. Recognizing the cause.
2. Accept it as a normal occurrence that you can not change. This is to reduce anxiety.
3. Try to find something else to focus on.
4. When you hear it again, Repeat step 3.
Over time, you will get better at ignoring it even though your brain struggles to filter it out.
