I have worked for this company for over a decade. Every employee out more than 180 days has been terminated.

I believe this is allowed by law in the state I live in. If someone could tell me if I get terminated do my WC benefits end? Yes I got an atty. Shortly after my injury my employer got pushy about trying to get me back to work.

Questioned the neuros work restriction and if I really felt that bad.
I was teminated as soon as the letter went out that told them it was illegal to terminate me. At the same time, I had long term disability and have had it for 22 years. Plus, I got Social Security. They have screwed me out of my pension by and I get only about $600 A MONTH. (due they told me to my age and the length of service I had when I left the company.) The attorney didn't serve the wronful termination suit I directed him to..

But you get along. Have too.

I now have an attorney who is taking the matter seriously after 24 years. He thinks the company and the lawyer were in cahoots.

If a Neuro says you can't work, take it seriously!

Good luck.I am sorry I seem to be a naysayer but you need to know the true facts of what may happen. Not WILL, but MAY.

Most employers aren't in the business to "help" an employee for any reason. they are in the business to make money.

I would look at the number before I answer and not answer or discuss it with your employer.
