But then the Alzheimer's Reading Room link says it never went to phase III , without elaborating. Could it have gone to to Phase III and just not been made public or are there public disclosure requirements that pertain to drug trials?

no phase3 results on their website and no published peer reviewed phase 2 results that i can find.
