If you scan the link in the original post you will see that they can now see at a molecular level how our neuronal axis is impaired. They then have applied some sort of remedy or booster and it resulted in slowing progression or reversal of symptoms.
I was fairly skeptical of biomarkers too but this is beyond what I ever expected in just identifying one measly marker :P
