Hi Weapie -- here's wishing you well and I'll keep you in my prayers.
Way back in 1990 I started having seizures (plus miserable headaches) and was diagnosed with "idiopathic epilepsy". No meds helped.
2005 my neuro finally arranged a new MRI and it showed an oligodendroglioma II tumor in my left temporal lobe. After months of testing and waiting I had surgery, Feb, 2006, to remove it.
All went well but I started having seizures again June, 2007. I chose to have a second surgery. Whew ....... I haven't had a seizure since then and the headaches are less frequent and easier to take.
I'm writing all this stuff about myself to say that surgery is good -- I'd have it a third time if needed.
I do have "just checking" MRIs and see the surgeon every 12 months and will continue doing that for the rest of my life. Surgeon says everyone needs the check-ups.
Please just get yourself to a good neuro and find out what's happening.
