Dependent on the injury, there could have been deep tissue trauma associated with the area around the 4th ventricle of the brain. That is the area of our thermastat.
Whether there is documentation of mild TBI injury involving this area, I am not sure, nor about the effects of varied shearing forces of trauma to this area, but it might be something your Neurologist could look into, dependent on your injuries.
And, since you brought this up, it will give me something else to focus on with my ongoing researches on mTBI.
