Sjogren's can definitely cause numerous dental problems from the higher concentration of bacteria (due to lack of saliva). This can not only cause additional dental caries and gingivitis, but increase the risk for infection after oral surgery and in general slow the healing process.
I have Sjogren's and therefore see a dentist every 4 months to maintain better oral health. Keep in mind that your oral health greatly affects other body systems...including your heart.
