No it does not bother me. I started with the plain one last year.

Then recently I now use the fruit ones. I don't eat alot of sugar anyway, so this is staying below some tolerance level for me.

I have a small bottle every other day or so, now. I started with 4 oz daily of the plain. These person sizes come 12 to a box from Costco now. A quart can last me almost a week.

I still cannot tolerate alot of sugar, but this seems to be okay for me. I think most of the sugar content is from the fruit in it.

I have some lactose problems too, and avoid ice cream for that reason. I use Lactaid milk too. But I think there is negligible lactose in the Lifeway Kefir.

I do find the lactic acid in it, best tolerated with food however.
