Default CSF leak or viral meningitis??

Hi,

My uncle is in trouble at the moment and doctors are differing in treatment and we all know how that ends...

A quick medical history:
Series of back injuries resulting in chronic pain, numerous lumbar discectomys and fusion surgeries, on maximum dose oxycontin and morphine 24/7 to no relief. Last week had a ex-lap surgery where his neurosurgeon found a lot of scar tissue on a nerve and he stripped it and put on some gel to protect the nerve. all good and my uncle was sent home until 2-3 days after when he started getting severe headaches and photophobia.

His neurosurgeon thought it was a CSF leak and ordered a scan and they found a small aneurysm (2.5ml) no sign of a leak. 3 days later they performed a lumbar puncture to test for viral meningitis and they say the tests were positive so started him on an antibiotic and fluid. He did not improve and a second neurosurgeon specialising in meningitis was called and he said it was a CSF leak so they started him on caffeine pills and fluids and he improved until they stopped giving them to him and it came back like a brick.

Now the doctors in the hospital he is in are refusing to treat him as they believe it was meningitis so he's left without any treatment.. we don't know what to do he has still got severe headaches, photophobia and nausea which -classic meningitis but they are slightly relieved with caffeine.

Can anybody suggest anything that could help?
