We feel the blessing,
the warmth of grace,
the chill of fretting,
put in its place,
and then we look up
to the place whence all blessings flow
and we feel healing touch
for our Lord has let us surely know
we are His no matter the hurt or pain
we have come home
emotions all but drained
as we face news to come
of treatments dread
we wonder can we take this and live
and God, whose grace from cross was bled
wraps arms of love his love He gives
because we face these illness times
filled by His peace
hearing church bell chimes
and we look for His deed
His certain act
of healing ill and all who cry
because God lifts us up to His dear lap
and hugs us close, His breath nearby
and cry Abba, hold us close and dear
then hush us does, as He calms our fears.
