Personally I'd stay away from a Chiropractor, but perhaps a massage would do the trick. You might have a muscle strain/sprain going here. If it's a sprain, it's going to take awhile to heal. Massage would certainly make it feel better.

You might ask the doc for some muscle relaxers and see if that will work. If it does, then you'll know what you're working with here. I would think he woulld give you some since he thinks it's a strain --and you're bound to have some spasms.
