Ok - first off I fully support giving disability to veterans with ALS (or any catastrophic disabling disease).

With that said is a 1.6% or 2% difference realling indicative of anything? Is it statistically significant? As a point of reference, the studies of Italian Soccer players showed they are 6 to 12 TIMES as likely as the general population to get ALS yet this study is still questioned as statistical noise.

How can 2% really prove anything as to the causation of ALS? Just a thought.
