Dr. Blaylock's current newsletter is about best foods for your heart, and the last paragraph concerns Vitamin D. He recommends a level of 75 - 100 whereas a level of 34 ng/ml is now accepted as a normal level. He said that adults require more than 2000 to raise their levels, and he recommends 5,000 or even 10,000 IU per day to reach desired levels.
He also recommends green or white tea, 6+ cups per day for developing diabetes. If this is too much, he suggests making it stronger to drink less. In my opinion, it is pretty tastless, so stronger tea would probably be easy to tolerate. He says it reverses insulin resistance. Maybe he has one of his videos on this, Mrs D?
