I do haved orthotics, and an ankle brace. Alot wrong. I did not experience any problem with the casting. They were ever so gentle. I didn't develope PN or RSD until after several surgeries on the ankle. I hope this goes smooth for you. the orthodics do help me walk, and if I do anything active, the ankle brace does work.
