My Wife
She is taking meds. One anti-depressant and a mood stabilizer. She also takes anxiety meds, insomnia meds and allergy medication.
She also does have neck and mid-upper back injury she received while on duty. She was not in war; but did work in Medical field. Her injuries were result from a lousy military doctors.
She basically died (flat-lined) and then they got her going again. Not something I am willing to elaborate on. She has half her reproductive system now and had 2 blood transfusions at the time of her injury. One didn't take and they gave her the second one and it took.
Without the help of 1 doc on leave from Iraq; my wife would not be here today nor would my wonderful children that I love very very much!
I know she hurt her back lifting stuff in military. She had a very long recovery over 2 months. She was unable to get up, speak or do anything really for a very long time after her surgery and she had re-hab on her back issues.
She has currently 90% disability with 100% payable unemployable. She was determined in 2008 that she was not fit in the workforce and they closed her file.
She has decided to hold off on the evaluation. I think she just can't handle the stress and having to tell the story of herself to the people she thinks that will take away her benefits. She is totally spooked and so I can't convince her otherwise. I am supporting her no matter.
The government I found is nothing to mess with and she has been through enough already. I think she just wants to be left alone from all those doctors. I honestly don't blame her. They have not treated her well from the start and she has fought very hard to tell them she needed help and now she has some financial freedom to pay outside doctors that can actually help her more.
We have 2 kids. A toddler and elementary age child. She is very stressed out in taking care of them and they are all she can handle at the moment. I help out as much as I can. I am glad however, that she is one to take her meds. Most of the people I have heard don't and fall into a deep depression.
I hope this helps in any answers. Thanks. We are gonna hold off though. She's way too nervous about it and I don't want her to regress.
