Hey old school,

Welcome to NeuroTalk. I can relate to your experiences. I assume you are in your mid to late 40's. This is a big time of change for those of us with a history of concussions. There is a lot you can do to make your life better.

First, you need to accept that you are struggling with Post Concussion Syndrome. Then you can start identifying your Post Concussion symptoms and differentiate them from your personality and choices in behaviors. A good place to start will be with the TBI Survivors Guide at www.tbiguide.com and the What Brain Injury Survivors Want You to Know at http://www.brainline.org/content/201...u-to-know.html

You can choose to overcome some of the personality and behavioral issues caused by your brain injury. It requires a family effort. If you can find a Brain Injury Support Group, it can be a great asset to you and your family.

The anger and other behavioral outbursts that are common to PCS can be controlled to a point. You and your family need to become aware of the signs and triggers that lead to outbursts.

There are a myriad of symptoms that I and others can address. If you and even your wife and kids are willing to post the issues they find troubling, there are plenty of people here who can help. Many of us have been through the same and are living this struggle daily.

We are not judgmental because we understand the issues. So, please feel free to post questions and struggles.

My best to you.
