Are you taking an antidepressant also?
If not, you could try using L-tryptophan, as this sometimes lessens serotonin withdrawal syndrome.
You should discuss this carefully with your doctor, as he/she may prefer you use long acting Prozac to help with withdrawal (and tapering that carefully over time).
But it has been my experience that many doctors do not understand tramadol and hence don't know how to help you.

Tramadol causes seizures also. I take Paxil and have had 4 seizures in the past 6 years. I went off of it and didn't really have any withdrawal symptoms except for irritability for a few days but everyone is different. I have to take opiates for my pain as the seizures are no longer an option for me
