Good morning, so after spending 3 hours at the doc yesterday I am starting to get daughters cold. Probably didn't help that no matter where I moved to there was someone coughing next to me.

I am going to take daughter to the doc today because she is just not getting better, but at least this will be our family doc so it won't be crowded like the clinic type place we went yesterday. I took son there because I knew they could do the tests we needed without sending us somewhere else.

So they said my son has exercise induced asthma. Nothing going on with his heart. I was so thankful for that because his chest would move up and down so much it scared me. So he has an inhaler to use when needed. Now for the bad news...the doc says he has the back of a 50-60 year old. He x-rayed him and wants us to see a orthopedist. We knew he had spina bifida occulta and also grade 2 spondyolethesis but were hoping that he could control it with exercise and being careful but I guess not. So the wheels are rolling for that. I just don' know what to do because he is so young and we all know that surgery isn't always the answer.

Well I am a little overwhelmed right now so I am going to take it easy for the day. I can't use food for comfort as I have no comfort food in the house. Smart one huh? So I will see ya' all later on...Sue

PS sorry not supportive of everyone today I am in the pity party mode but I will snap out of it soon. Jo I loved your pictures. I need a dose of ocean air. They reminded me of Coos Bay OR where I want to live out my days. Sue
