Yep know that feeling intimately. Had a therapy session and I was talking to the therapists about beliefs and skills I had acquired over my career. She told me you don't seem to be having any problems communicating now.

I told her it is easy for past experiences. If I try and work thru a problem new problem it is like the round wheel is suddenly a square wheel. Like my brain is struggling thru quicksand.

I am convinced it is a cognitive issue but since I am relatively early in recovery not sure what deficit it could be.
