Ho. Lee. Crap! That's awful! Thanks goodness you are levelheaded. A friend of mine that developed a thyroid problem had a doctor tell her she probably had MS. Naturally she was in a complete panic until she saw a second doctor who was able to correctly diagnose her almost immediately, and said that the first doctor never should have terrified her like that, as, with her particular presentation of symptoms MS was "looking for zebras instead of horses when you hear hoofbeats." I wonder if the doctor you saw just didn't know what TOS actually is, but since he'd heard of lung cancer, he went with that explanation. LOL.
I mean, good grief, TOS is pretty much a diagnosis of exclusion, and I never had a doctor tell me (nor have I come across it in the research that I've done), that a common thing to rule out is lung cancer - and I had a solid three years of doctors coming up with every out-of-left-field possible diagnosis they possibly could. Then again, by the time you start talking TOS, you've probably already had chest x-rays, CT, MRI, etc. that should have turned up lung cancer if it was present - maybe my docs just ruled it out before giving me the test results. ;-)
I'm sorry you had to deal with that nonsense on top of your pain and migraine. I hope the meds help you feel better!
