Checking in on the coast residents, it must be getting rough out by he shore.
Late tomorrow it will go right over us. I don't much wind yet, tomorrow will be worse for two days.
The power company had a robo call to let us know the power outages could be a week. We are so forested I am Leary of the trees there is a 50+ ft one by the new home the neighbors were to remove after Irene last year!

At least the county did have to evacuate the entire valley like last years hurricaine Irene,. That must mean the river is very low. But will the levy system that is compromised from Irene be okay.

It will be a lot of rain, but it is the winds, plus being in the mountains, temperature drop could mean snow. We are hearing 6-8 in of rain...the winds here are about 9 mph but an hour away they are 25 mph already.

I can imagine the insurance claims again. Just finished reopening a fire hall and post office on one of my claims, and they are still sitting on top of a stream that floods. It was a ft from the 12 ft ceiling last year. Today I am making chicken soup, and bake a ham. That will keep us going few days. The stove is gas, and the generator will provide heat and keep the refrigerator/ deep freeze on.

This time tomorrow will be in the height. Keep you posted.
