Pyridium is for symptomatic relief of burning pain on urination.

Why are you asking? It does not have other therapeutic indications except for that.

It is not recommended for extended use because of its potential toxicity:

Typically it is only for use for brief periods of time along with an antibiotic for urinary tract infections.

It can be very messy and will stain clothing and sometimes contact lenses.

I can't see using this for any other reason.
