hello jason
You did find the right place for support. Oh to be young again...Not....
You can heal first of all. I also think alot of folks will respond to you and give you some advice. Please, do not drink, do not do drugs, don't do the things that are toxic to yourself, as this will make healing very difficult. You need to engage in those things that help your body to heal. That includes rest, forget the parties and the skate board. Some people can read, others have a hard time with it. Try a reading device where you can set the brightness and the font, that may help. Sleep is really important.
What does your doctor say about working? Somewhere in this mix, you need to find a balance where you give yourself time to get better. Another good kind of physician is called a physiatrist. They deal with the whole body, and how to heal with whatever the problem is. It may be worth the effort to see this kind of specialist. I sure hope you take good care of yourself from now on. Being young, can be an advantage, as recovery happens more often when you are young. I think of "Carrot Top" The guy who skate boards, and snow boards. He too suffered PCS, but with the right treatment, rest and therapy he was back at it. I really hope you get better soon. Mark from Idaho, is very knowledgeable about this too. ginnie
