Carebear,
It sounds like you need more quiet rest to help your brain recover. If your employer needs additional incentive, you now qualify as a 'disabled' worker so your employer needs to make any reasonable accommodations in your work environment and conditions. The Americans with Disabilities Act protects you and provides guidelines for reasonable accommodations.
It will help if you put together a list of your symptoms and limitations with the accommodation needed.
It may help to wear sunglasses when under the fluorescent lights or even a wide brimmed hat. Foam ear plugs or head phone style ear mufffs may help with sounds. It may help to have a quiet dark place for you to take a break ever 2 hours or more often if possible.
As an extra incentive, your employer should be working to reduce stress loads. Workers Comp can get stuck with a WC disability claim for the impact of stress from the work environment. Work place stress is a WC covered work place injury in most states.
I hope you can get some stress reduction accommodations from your employer. It will greatly enhance your recovery.
My best to you.
