So true. It sounds corny and manipulative but if you ask: where they got that funky jewellry/man that tattoo must have hurt - personally I'm a coward/haven't you lost weight/so, why did you pick (insert their degree here - basket weaving perhaps)/ etc. Most people (anxiety endurers are the exeption) love to talk about themselves.
Hope the party goes well. It's such a boost of confidence to be able to dress in a one size smaller than last year outfit. Unfortunately, this year I'll be in the one size larger than last year category. Sigh.
