As with everything, it's individual....for us, the great thing about mucuna is you can take it with food and still get the benefit. Can't eat a crumb if we want sinemet to work.
The other good thing: it brings you on consistently, which sinemet does not do for us. And it brings you on faster, again, an advantage over sinemet. The bad: it drops you very fast, and unpredictably too.
You really have to try things for yourself to see how they work with your body chemistry, stress level, etc. We find one teaspoon is enough, although I understand that 2 teaspoons are the equivalent of a 25/100 sinemet. I think, for us, the active ingredient(s) in sinemet are more bioavailable so we get more bang for the buck, as they say.
