Hi SDFencer,
Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear that you may have had a seizure. Stress and lack of sleep are the 2 main things that can trigger a seizure for a person. I've had brain surgery done twice to reduce my seziures and I was doing great until a few yrs. later when my Dr. put me on the drug neurontin and that drug caused me to have wicked seizures and messed me up terrible so now I'm back to square one like I didn't even have the surgery. You might want to ask your Dr. to check for scar tissue from the surgery this is what happened to me. In the mean time ask the Dr. to do a DNA test on you and this will find what seizure med will work the best for you with the least side effect. All they have to do is get a little salvia or blood from you and match up the enzymes. Also try taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day this has really helped reduce my seizures. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!
