Not much knowledge, just experiencing the pain, myself! I've yet to get my official diagnosis of arthritis, the rheumy I had my apt with doesn't take my insurance, so I had to cancel it, and have been too busy to find another. I've got arthritic changes mostly in my hands, but when the pain starts, my wrists, elbows and shoulders also hurt. Mine is mostly a dull, nagging pain. I have noticed that mine seems to flare. Usually I don't notice hardly anything, but when it flares, I get the dull, constant pain, along with fatigue. I'm not sure if the fatigue is coming from the arthritis itself, or is just a result of being in pain. I don't do pain gracefully!
I usually just take whatever kind of pain reliever I happen to have nearby: Motrin, Tylenol, etc. Or actually, the store brand counterparts, if truth be told.
I'll watch for others' answers to your post, since I'm in need of advice, too!
Hugs,
