Default Hi Delaine

So sorry for what happened to you. Please be welcomed into Neuro Talk. People here really do care. Seek the spinal forum too for more information. Also a concusion is serious, and does take awhile to heal. Your doctor should have a bit more understanding about that. Didn't your Neurologist address that as much as the spinal fusions? I am fused C3-7. I do know how depressed you can get, and how alone you can feel when you loose all that you were, or had. Getting back to feeling a bit more normal is going to take some time. My surgery was two years ago. I am just now really doing a bit better. I am glad you found this site. You won't be alone. Depression is caused by injury, and can also be treated. Private message me anytime and I can try to help. I go to a physiatrist, combination of pain specialist, and a doc. who treats at a cellular level. Holidays are tough in the best of circumstances. Keep connected here, and you will make some new friends. Do one small nice thing just for yourself. Eat a piece of chocolate, read a good book, see a fab. movie like Life of Pi. This helps depression. Please talk to your doctor and if need be find another doctor who can help with the concusion and the depression. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. ginnie
