I totally depend on my husband for so much. Since the start of this horrible journey, he has had more and more on his plate not only with me and our pets but with his job. I have had two caregivers over the last three years who helped with the housework and laundry until I could become strong enough to be able to do it myself with some help from my husband. Then I could only clean one room at a time and have to rest for a day or two.

I have been very worried about him during all this because he's the type person that holds everything inside until he explodes and when that happened he would have an emotional "breakdown" and express how worried he is about me and what will happen if he should become sick or worse. We have no children however my two siblings would take care of me but they are in their late 60's.

Now my husband was laid off this past June and is going to apply for early retirement so there is less stress on him and he has been able to help me in more ways.

I know how lucky I am to have a supportive husband because I cannot live on my own.
