Default Wow can this be real

I just have to tell someone what an incredible day I have had. I had my first myofascial release therapy today. After 7 months of suffering, fighting with insurance co. and incremental improvement I had a BIG improvement today. The therapist has been trying for over a month to get a prescription to do the myofascial release. So today I was told it was approved and we would start.

We started with stretching and then the actual manipulation. Honestly some of it was uncomfortable and some was painful. Afterwords the therapist applied a heat pad for about 15 minutes. I could tell after I got up that I had so much more movement and my neck was relaxed and no longer painful like it had been.

It was on the drive to work which is about an hour and 15 minutes I began to understand how much better I felt. I had been in so much pain for so long it had just become a normal part of life. Not only had the pain been diminished so incredibly much but I realized my thinking was clearer and for the first time since my injury I really felt like myself.

I don't know why and I don't care. I am just so thankful for the relief. But more than that to no longer feel like a stranger to myself means more than I can say. I still have the headache which is so familiar, back pain and neck pain. But I can honestly say I feel I can cope with it now that I feel like myself again.
