cervical spine problems/MRI problems
I do not know what part of the world some people live in, but, in Southern California we have a qualified doctor, namely a Neuroradiologist, to interpret the MRIs. I was having pain on the right side of my neck. The X-ray showed advanced arthritis on the cervical spine. I insisted on having an MRI done. The results were that I have a pinched nerve between C5-C6. The only thing that can be done is NSAIDS and rest. I do not do any work with my right hand, even dicing food irritates the neck. I am 80 yrs old and was accustomed to playing 18 holes of golf. Can't do that anymore. One has to learn to adjust their lifestyle to compensate for your problems. In time thee problem will get worse and at that time I will have to make more decisions as to how to treat it.I stay away from chiropractors and acupuncturist. I have tried both and the only thing they did is to separate me from my money.
