Bleeding only lasted for that day and now its been a week since it was taken out... and now something has happened to cause me great concern, I woke up this morning with a really dry mouth so I drank a little bit of water then I felt something in my throat so I slowly spit it out and it was a long strand of dark blood. Now its been a total of 7 days, no infections nothing now this... I have next to no pain in my mouth I mean it feels a little tender along the gumline but thats it, I was wondering what could have caused this or what could this mean? Dry socket? Or worse? Or nothing for me to be concerned about at all and I'm just over-thinking it and being paranoid... to be honest I'm a little scared it might be the beginnings of dry socket, but I'm told I would be feeling extreme if not moderate pain right now and I truthfully do not... Any help would be great thanks!.

Also I called my dentist and they said it might have been caused by a piece of food that was lodged in the hole, and said that if it was dry socket I should be in pain by now... I am of course still worried but not as much as before, I cannot however go in and get it looked at as I'm broke and don't get paid till tomorrow and my dentist isn't in tomorrow... so any thoughts please forward them
