I agree with Annie,
One of the hardest things is to be your own physician.
I was forced to that corner more than once, but I don't wish it on anyone.
And I had all the tools and knowledge required.
In retrospect I had an excellent understanding of my condition, found the optimal management approach but realized time and again, what I knew from my own practice-A physician is not only someone who makes a brilliant diagnosis and prescribes the proper medication, he is also (and not less important) a true partner in a very hard journey.
That is why, despite horrible experiences and being fully capable of making my own medical decisions, I kept on searching for someone I could trust.
You may find this funny, but now I don't even take a food supplement without consulting my neurologist about it.
