I can't sleep without my cpap. I take it with me even if I'm going to be away from home for 1 night. I have tried to sleep without it and just can't do it. I wake myself up because I can't breathe. I've been using it for about 12 years and am on my second machine. It takes a little time to get used to wearing it at night, but keep on trying and you will find the mask that works best for you.
