I don't think anyone can say here....this question is so specialized...and detailed and surgical.

I do think, that some people tend to make more scar tissue with injuries, and this fibrosis may continue if you don't have the nerve fixed quickly.

I'd also ask at the TOS forum here...they have nerve surgeries and releases etc in the shoulder and someone may know the answer to your question.

Peripheral nerves do regrow, but I do not know how close the ends need to be, etc. You will want to be eating well, lots of Omega-3 fats, protein, B12, folate, B6, which regenerate myelin.

I would think PAIN or loss of function would impact any physical trip like you are planning. You could run into problems on the trip, that could not be addressed well in the areas you'd be in.
