Default Latest MRI report

Good news from the radiologist's report on the latest MRI.

There are only a few new lesions; and they are very small, and are confined to the frontal lobe of the brain .
Yeah, I know, sometimes things don't show up...especially in the spinal cord; but in this case I really feel that IF something didn't show up, it is a minor change. At least there is no evidence of transverse myelitis.

He thinks that some of the new stuff might actually be small bleeds from small vessel disease, but I don't think so. I don't have any risk factors for it, but I suppose the neuro will weigh in on that potential when I see him in the New Year.
My blood pressure has always been on the low side 100/60 and my cholesterol levels have always been way lower than normal.

From the MRIs of the spine he noted bulging discs that are encroaching on the spinal cord at C 6&7, T 7 and L3, 4, 5; but he didn't see any distortions or impingements. There is also a forward slippage of L5 on the sacrum; but no sign of a fracture (old or new).
All of these are probably from the falls that I had this year. When the body goes down, it tends to go down hard because the legs just give out.
In time, I think that the disc bulges should resolve; because years ago I had a couple of lumbar discs prolapse after a very bad fall and they resolved within a year with exercise and physical therapy.

Onward and upward as they say...2013 promises to be a very good year; as I think that the body is finally coming around after nearly two years of a fairly continuous flare-up .

With love, Erika
