Sounds as if it might be obturator neuropathy.

I never knew what it was until my docs dx'd it. It runs from my groin to my knee - straight down the inner thigh. It's worse on my left side.

Keeping pressure off the area, and... basically resting is what helps the most when it happens.

The prob. is a total pain... and time really is the thing that helped me the most.
