if you are applying for ssdi, which you would be based on having the work credits to qualify then it doesnt matter what your income is as long as its not earned income. pensions, investments, dividends, stocks, etc. dont factor in at all.
for those applying for ssi, which are those who dont meet the work credit requirements for ssdi, it does matter how much income and assets they have for meeting the non medical requirements.
