You know my husband is the "writer" here.
And I am the artist/scientist.
Looks like my son inherited BOTH! My hubby also does photography as a hobby, and my son was exposed to that while growing up. But in contrast hubby is not hot for our new digital camera...yet...I am working on that!
I too, enjoy my son's comments to the pictures. He is funny in real life too.
A bit off beat typically as well.
I don't know if you ever saw his picture?
This one is from high school... but is very typical. When he came with me on vacation every summer, we always had a very good time.
He really didn't do photos until I got him that camera last summer. He offered to help me with my new digital camera...to replace the auto Olympus I had, and when he got into my Sony Cybershot... he became "hooked" then. So we got him a Canon (smaller less zoom).. and off he went. I think it is the computer techno connection. Digital cameras give instant results and feedback.. which I think appeals to my son. Waiting for film to be developed seemed to frustrate him, and it can be expensive too. Since my son is a computer/techno fiend...the digital opened alot of doors for him creatively.
Thanks for the comments! They are greatly appreciated. We are going to my son's place for Mother's Day dinner...so then he can explain how much time/effort a blog would take. But I think I am ready now for it.
You know I just thought of something!... my son was born blind...and we got glasses for him at 8mos...it was very experimental in those days 25 yrs ago to fit glasses on infants. I just realized that he is most excited with the CLOSE-ups his camera does. He seems to favor that nearsighted point of view. When he was tiny he examined everything that way... seems to be a character pattern now!
