Hello,
So today is six months since my cycling accident and I've just in the last few weeks started noticing some positive improvements. I have had a few days with a clearer head where I feel more like myself and less foggy, I have had a few days with a little bit more energy, I have also noticed on those days I do not search for words as much. I am also "crying for no reason" less which is a really good thing!
The symptoms I am still having problems with are the disequilibrium (guess it's not just dizziness

) blurred vision, headaches, mental and physical fatigue, problems with higher order thinking (decision making, multi-tasking, etc), problems with initiating tasks, light and noise sensitivities, etc. Actually, I'm still having all symptoms just some are less.
I guess what I would like to know is how do I move forward, slowly without having setbacks? The good days are only because I'm resting and doing absolutely no thinking. As soon as I start thinking the symptoms come back and it's frustrating.
I feel like I'm getting a little bit better but would like to know what to do next to continue improving. Should I start with trying to increase my physical stamina or should I start with trying to improve my cognitive issues (do more thinking)? Or should I keep resting?
I am still waiting for a neuro ophthalmologist appointment but I figure it will be March or April until I can see one. I think that is what I need to get advice on the disequilibrium and blurred vision. I might be starting vestibular physio therapy next week but I think it will just be expensive with not much by way of results.
Can't believe that what I thought was just a minor accident would still be controlling my life 6 months later! I kept telling everyone I'd be back at work in a week or two
Thanks for all of the advice and support! I get a lot of comfort from reading all your posts.
I hope you are having a good day!
